I have finished Ubik by Philip K. Dick (what a book) and have started You Are Not a Gadget by Jaron Lanier.

50 Crappy but practical Christmas Gifts for Hikers – this is a a great list of useful items for long-distance backpackers.

Exposure Basics for Shooting With Mirrorless Cameras – this guide by photographer Dan Bailey is also a neat summary of why mirrorless cameras are the future.

A Too-Perfect Picture – this is a fascinating essay on truth and authenticity in street/travel photography.

Scaling Gear: 1P to 3P – a great guide to scaling your outdoor gear to family adventures.

Fujifilm Fujicolor Pro 400H Film Profile – this is next on my list of film to try. I like Superia 400 but this looks better.

Attitudes and Altitude: a new Sidetracked project, and a journey across the Alps

I'll be spending much of the rest of the summer in the Alps, trekking and a bit of running from Ventimiglia to Zermatt. It's going to be an incredible adventure. I can't wait to begin.
